Corrosion in electrical systems - Technical event
Together with Amphenol, Avnet Abacus, and Belden, Odense Robotics invite all members to join a very special event deep diving corrosion in the electrical systems, sharing knowledge and insight from scientists and engineers from Amphenol.
Corrosion and fretting corrosion appear in all electrical systems and connections, indoor or outdoor, and will definitively cause failure and complications. Join this event if you want to strengthen the robustness of your electrical designs, focusing on vibrations, environmental impact, and natural corrosion dynamics.
Amphenol is one of the world’s biggest providers of high-tech interconnect, sensor, and antenna solutions, as well as harsh environment connector systems. Amphenol has a long history in science and developing electrical solutions and will now share its knowledge with the network of Odense Robotics.
At this event you will meet these specialists:
- Antoine Fares-Karam, Global Plating Engineering Manager, Ph.D., Amphenol
- Thierry Goossens, Director Product Solutions Group & FAE manager EMEA, Amphenol
- Alf Leth, inter-connect & electromechanical product specialist, Avnet Abacus
During lunch, you will have the opportunity to ask questions to the scientists, network, and join the hands-on workshop presenting different inter-connect solutions and concepts. If you have a challenge with a specific technical product/concept, please feel free to bring it to the workshop for specialist opinions.
Deep dive subjects:
- Why is corrosion appearing.
- Ways to prevent corrosion.
- Surface impact tin/silver/gold thicknesses.
- Mating cycles, what does the number of mating do on the corrosion?
- Impact from current and voltage in the specific connection.
- Vibration - fretting corrosion.
- How to choose the most feasible connector system.
Stakeholders: Specialists, R&D-people, tech-nerds, electro engineers, etc.
