Workshop 1: Drone Permits 101: Regulations, Conditions, and Categories

In this workshop, we will delve into the general conditions, categories, and permits that you, as a newcomer to the drone industry, need to be aware of. This workshop is specifically designed for those who are new to the drone industry and wish to gain a solid foundation in drone flight regulations and practices, as well as those seeking a brush-up on the latest updates and requirements.

Overview of Legislation

• National and international laws and regulations
• Responsibilities and consequences of violations

Permits and Licenses

• Review of the necessary permits
• How to apply for a permit
• The application process from a business perspective

Safety and Risk Management

• General introduction to the implementation of risk management and procedures
• Implementation, education, and training of personnel
• Examples of best practices and case studies from the industry

Participants will leave the workshop with a deeper understanding of the regulatory requirements and conditions associated with drone flight, as well as knowledge on how to navigate the permit application process.

• Academics researching areas related to drone applications or technologies who seek a basic understanding of the regulatory aspects.

Workshop 2: SORA & C Marking: Application Process and Unmarked Flight Operations

This is an in-depth session for drone enthusiasts and professionals who want to understand the complex processes related to SORA and the so-called C-marking for drones. We will also explore what you can fly without the necessary marking.

Introduction

• What is SORA and why is it important?
• C1, C2, and C3 categories

SORA Application Process

• Overview of the process for performing a SORA
• How to identify and assess risks in specific operations
• What is required once you have obtained a SORA

C-Marking or Not

• Requirements and complexities of C-marking
• Examples of operations and challenges

Participants will leave the workshop with an understanding of how to navigate the SORA process, the requirements for C-marking, and what is permitted when you do not have the necessary marking.

Target Group

• Companies already working within the drone industry that need to understand the complex processes related to SORA and C-marking. This can include individuals responsible for performing risk assessments and applying for permits for specific drone operations.
• Startups/End users that need to understand the regulatory requirements and processes to develop their business model and product to obtain the necessary permits.

These workshops are for paying members. However, it is also possible for non-paying members and non-members to join for 2,000 DKK incl. lunch.

• For paying members: Payment with de minimis is possible. You will receive de minimis support in the amount of DKK 1,000.
• For non-paying members: DKK 2,000 for the day, including lunch.
• For non-members: DKK 2,000 for the day, including lunch.
